City lights. Movie film.
Tungsten-balanced cinema film turned night photography into something special: orange street lamps turn neutral, the night sky goes cyan, and bright lights bloom with a soft red halo.
A phone or camera at night gives you something else: muddy orange, noisy shadows and lights that look flat. Night 800 balances the tungsten cast, pushes shadows towards teal, keeps skin natural and adds a gentle halation glow around highlights, the signature of this kind of film.
Rain is its best friend. Wet asphalt, reflections and coloured signs are where Night 800 looks most like a film still.

10 presets, one night film
Every preset is built on the same night film base, from blue hour to 3 a.m., so a whole night walk looks like one movie.
- 800 Signature – The signature look: teal shadows, amber lights and a soft red glow around highlights.
- Halation – Turns the red glow up for street lamps, headlights and lit windows.
- Neon Rain – For wet streets after rain: deep reflections and saturated coloured signs.
- Diner – Warm, nostalgic interiors under bulbs and fluorescent tubes, with clean skin.
- Tungsten – Balances orange city light to neutral and lets the night sky turn cyan-blue.
- Blue Hour – For the minutes after sunset: cool skies and warm first lights.
- Taillights – Rich reds and crisp blacks for traffic, light trails and long exposures.
- Metro – Tames green fluorescent light in stations, car parks and underpasses.
- Pushed 1600 – Brighter shadows, more contrast and coarser grain for very dark scenes.
- Mono 3200 – A gritty, high-speed black & white for the city after dark.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a paid Adobe subscription?
No. The mobile presets work in the free Lightroom Mobile app on iPhone and Android. If you edit on a computer, the desktop presets work in Lightroom Classic and Lightroom CC.
How will I get the presets?
Right after payment you can download all presets, together with a PDF with step-by-step instructions for installing them on your phone and on your computer.
Is this a copy of CineStill 800T?
Night 800 is our own modern take on the look of tungsten-balanced cinema film used for stills, such as CineStill 800T. It is not a scientific film emulation and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by CineStill. CineStill is a trademark of its owner.
How do the presets make the red glow?
The halation is built from Lightroom's own tools (tone curve, colour grading, clarity and dehaze settings) that bloom bright edges into red-orange. It is strongest in the Halation preset and works best around small bright lights such as lamps, headlights and signs.
Do I need a tripod or a special camera?
No. The presets work on any night photo, including phone night-mode shots. RAW files give the cleanest result, but JPGs work too.
What kind of photos work best?
Photos taken after sunset with artificial light: street lamps, shop windows, signs, cars and lit interiors. Rain and wet streets look especially good. For very dark scenes try Pushed 1600; for black & white, Mono 3200.
Will my photos look exactly like the examples?
Every photo is different (light, colours, exposure), so think of a preset as the starting point. Usually a small tweak of exposure or white balance is all it takes to match the look.
What if the presets don't suit my photos?
Send us an unedited photo and we'll personally adjust the presets for you. And if you're still not happy, you get your money back within 30 days.
Free preset updates forever?
Yes. Every new preset we add to Night 800 is yours to download for free, for a lifetime. Free updates are available only for purchases made on BrilliantPresets.com (this page), not on other marketplaces.
