New photos. Old memories.
Photos from the 70s have a colour no camera makes today: prints faded by decades of sunlight, film that waited too long in a drawer, and lab chemistry that turned everything warm.
Vintage 70s rebuilds that age on a fresh digital file. It warms the whole picture towards yellow and orange, fades the blacks into a milky matte, lowers contrast and saturation, nudges skin slightly towards rose and adds a soft, medium grain.
It works best when the photo already has a retro feel: wood, velvet, old cars, flared jeans, motels and sunshine.

10 presets, one faded film
Every preset is built on the same faded film base, so a whole series looks like one old photo album.
- 70s Signature – The signature look: warm yellowed tones, faded milky blacks and soft grain.
- Faded Summer – Sun-bleached, washed-out colour for holidays and road trips.
- Expired – Odd colour shifts and low contrast, like film that waited ten years in a drawer.
- Family Album – The look of an old print from a family album: warm, soft and a little magenta.
- Instant – Creamy highlights and pale greens inspired by instant camera prints.
- Holiday Slide – Richer reds and blues, like old holiday slides projected on a wall.
- Suburbia – Muted, warm everyday colour for houses, cars and backyards.
- Motel – Warm interiors and faded turquoise for retro hotels and poolside shots.
- Sepia Road – A strong warm, near-sepia fade for travel and desert roads.
- Mono 70 – A soft, slightly warm black & white with lifted blacks.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a paid Adobe subscription?
No. The mobile presets work in the free Lightroom Mobile app on iPhone and Android. If you edit on a computer, the desktop presets work in Lightroom Classic and Lightroom CC.
How will I get the presets?
Right after payment you can download all presets, together with a PDF with step-by-step instructions for installing them on your phone and on your computer.
Will it work on modern photos?
Yes. The presets were built on modern digital and phone photos. Scenes with warm colours, natural materials and sunshine look the most convincing, but any photo can get the faded print feel.
Can I make the effect weaker?
Yes. Lightroom Mobile and Desktop both have a preset Amount slider: drag it down for a subtler fade, or use Suburbia, the gentlest preset in the pack.
What kind of photos work best?
Sunny scenes with warm colours: retro outfits, old cars, road trips, holidays, interiors and family moments. For a stronger effect try Expired or Sepia Road; for black & white, Mono 70.
Will my photos look exactly like the examples?
Every photo is different (light, colours, exposure), so think of a preset as the starting point. Usually a small tweak of exposure or white balance is all it takes to match the look.
What if the presets don't suit my photos?
Send us an unedited photo and we'll personally adjust the presets for you. And if you're still not happy, you get your money back within 30 days.
Free preset updates forever?
Yes. Every new preset we add to Vintage 70s is yours to download for free, for a lifetime. Free updates are available only for purchases made on BrilliantPresets.com (this page), not on other marketplaces.
